3rd AFC Camp a Success

Thanks to all the players, parents, and AFC coaches who helped out with this summers AFC team camp.  We had over 70 players train this week and with the coaching from our 8 guest coaches & fellow AFC coaches, it was a successful camp for everyone.  We look forward to next year's camp and continuing to improve this experience for our AFC players.

  FREE U8 Boys Training Sessions
~ Open to any boys interested in learning more about AFC Soccer ~

AFC will be holding some open training sessions for 6 & 7 year old boys interested in a new AFC U8 team for the 2015 Fall season.  Boys must be 7 years old (or younger) on August 1st 2015 to be age appropriate for this team.  Sessions will be run by Wes Rich (current AFC Boys Coordinator and Varsity Boys Coach at Patterson Mill High School) and Erik Sauer (Future Coach of this new U8 Team).  Date/Time information below:

Saturday, March 7th from 12:00 to 1:00 at Emmorton Elementary Gym

Saturday, March 14th from 12:00 to 1:00 at Emmorton Elementary Gym

Saturday, March 21st from 12:00 to 1:00 at Emmorton Elementary Gym

Congrats AFC Bulldogs - U13 Boys
~ 2015 MSA Valentine's Day Tournament Champions ~


Congratulations to the AFC Bulldogs for winning the 2015 Valentine's Day Tournament at Maryland Sports Center.  The Bulldogs went 5-0 and defeated a very strong Perry Hall White Marsh Premier team in the finals 3-2.  Way to go guys!

THANK YOU to C Milton Wright coach Brian Gunter who came out on Saturday to work with some of our boys teams.  The training was great, and the boys had fun and learned a lot!  AFC will continue to bring out local high school coaches to work with our players this winter.

Indoor Soccer is Here!! 

Good Luck to all AFC teams who are playing indoor soccer or futsal this winter.  AFC is represented well at the Maryland Sports Arena, the Arena Club indoor soccer league and the Arena Club futsal league.

Congrats to the AFC teams that went to Gettysburg over the weekend of August 23-24 and had a super showing in both tournaments. Coaches and players...you represented the club well and should be proud of your efforts.

   Wildcats Place 2nd  

Congrats to the U10 Girls Wildcats for placing 2nd in the Bel Air Summer Classic.  This was the girls first tournament as an AFC team and they did great making it to the finals and losing 1-0 in the championship game.  Congrats to Pat Brown, Erik Brown and the girls for a great start to the Fall season!






   AFC Camp This Week  

AFC is hosting it's second annual program wide soccer camp at Ring Factory Elementary School.  Players from 9 different AFC teams are training together with their team and having a different, licensed coach each night.  There are also various guest coaches coming each night to work with the players.

Charlie Davie (former All State Goal Keeper & Div 1 player at the Naval Academy & Towson)
Colin Miller (All State Keeper at C Milton Wright & future Div 1 Player at Providence)
