   AFC Storm - 2008 U11 Girls

AFC 2008 Girls “Storm” training with Bobby Macavan in preparation for the 2018 Fall season.

AFC Storm Team Mission: Continue to build a fun and exciting atmosphere for our U10 girls team to learn and grow with the game. Team work and sportsmanship will be our backgone as we teach our girls how to excel at one of the most popular sports in the world.

Coaches Goal: Teach and develop our team to be successful players as they grow into high school and college, not only in counts of wins and losses. This group of girls will also have the greatest attitude and sportsmanship in the game. It all starts with making practices a fun time to get together and build memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Bio:
After starting up soccer as a five year old I continued to play throughout High School (Bel Air Bobcats) After high school I started coaching club ball for the Harford Renegades. During this time we won multiple tournaments and leagues including National Tournaments in Philadelphia and Cape May New Jersey.  I am proud to say that after my three years with the Renegades I ended up handing them off to their designated high schools which included Curley, Calvert Hall and  Loyola as well as other local Harford County schools where they all continued to play throughout high school and some into collage.  Recently I have been coaching rec ball for Emmorton 2015 U8 Girls (2nd Place Finish) and Emmorton 2016 U9 Girls (Tournament Champions).  I have also coached indoor sessions over the past two years for Emmorton where we continued to learn the fundamentals of the game to help us excel during the next outdoor season.

Assistant Coach: Katie Ramirez

Katie is the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the AFC Storm. Katie grew up in Harford County, playing club soccer and varsity soccer all four years at CMW High School. Katie continued playing at St. Francis College and has coached at both ERC and Fallston Rec. Katie has also coached Girls on the Run and brings that experience of conditioning and mentorship to the AFC Storm team. Katie's goal is to ensure the Storm players are mentally and physically prepared for soccer now and into the future.
